Had the canoe ride on the river. The water level was 40 cm lower than usual. They should not organize rides with canoes in such shallow water. Half of the time it was an extremely frustrating ride. Kayaks were capable to glide in much more shallow places.

Very upsetting customer service. We had reserved online for a camping site, and we had really not liked it. The sites were way too packed together with very little privacy. Not recommended for a couple trying to spend a little weekend tent camping getaway together. The customer service agent did not want to refund our money and would not reason with us. We had taken a cancellation insurance and it was still a big problem to get a refund. However, for the canoe/kayak trips, everyone that had just finished it looked happy.

Took the 4-hour kayak ride at the end of the driest month of the year. Had great fun. Very well organized, great sentiment of safety and good gear.

We only went for the 2 hour kayaking run. Beautiful scenery. Crystal clear water. Only thing is do not waste to much time. You'll miss the bus.

Before you go, make sure to CALL to ask details about the conditions on the river. I took part in "The Famous Tour" which was self-guided 20km down the river. I was expecting a relaxed canoe ride with a few easy rapids. But the level on the river was exceptionally low (10 m3/s. The lowest from the chart in their office shows 5 m3/s) and my experience was totally different. The river was full of rocks sticking out of water or hidden just underneath it (often impossible to see until too late) so the ride was 80% of frantic maneuvering between them just to keep the canoe from tipping. We ended up in the water many times and I have bruises on my legs from hitting rocks (because the level is so low you end up on the rocks with little water to cushion the fall). We are no experts in canoeing (just typical basic knowledge of techniques) and even though my partner enjoyed the challenge/struggle, I was so stressed that I don't even remember the views we passed. So my 2 stars are for misinformation. Had I known that it's going to be a crazy ride between the rocks (or pushing the canoe through shallow parts while walking on slippery rocks), I wouldn't have done it. The staff only told us just before the departure that the level is low and there are more rocks but first: they only said it in French (so I didn't understand) and second: they failed to provide a full picture of the situation on the river.
